Having problems with your Refrigerators ?

A tenant describes his refrigerator problem as follows: - since 2-3weeks every day there is some water at the bottom of my Bauknecht refrigerator. What may be the cause ? Kind regstes Walter Maeder

Answers :

From your description the water is coming from the defrosting.
Every day the ice is melded is should go from the back of the fridge to one
evaporator container which is surrounded from the compressor and condenser pipes
which are hot so the water will evaporate to the atmosphere.

In your case there is a possibility that the water hose gathering
the water from melting ice to be goggle or been moved so the water it cannot be
collected to drain evaporator pan and the water ending to the floor.

So you'd visual check from the back inside of your fridge
and from the back outside of your fridge to see how the collecting hose is located
or goggle and put it in place or clean it by using either a metal wire or using
hot water to pass though the hose to be cleaned.

The freezer works but the refrigerator section is 55 degrees. I turned it off overnight and a quart of water came out the bottom. I plugged it back in and it worked great for 2 days (refrigerator at 38 degrees). Then after 2 days, refrigerator is back at 55 degrees. Research on the web indicates a drain tube may have dirt in it causing it to ice up and I should pour a cup of warm water in it to get the dirt out. However, I cannot find where the drain tube inlet is. Where is it on this mode

I suspect your real problem is not the defrost drain being plugged but a defrost issue. It sounds like your fridge is not defrosting causing a lack of air flow to the fridge section. You can remove the inside back wall of the freezer to expose the ev ... Amana DRB1901C Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

The ice is leaking or overflowing from it's container so that the bottom of the refrigerator collects the ice and does not close until it's scraped out (with no damage to the fridge) except once it accumlates it starts to leak out onto the floor. The ice size is set for medium and shouldn't be causing this kind of problem. It looks like the water is leaking out of the back 2 vents in the freezer. Suggestions?

Ice is accumulating then leaking. This indicates either the problem is ice getting bit warm after getting into the bottom of refrigerator and this melts the ice or the ventilation's are blocked in the unit.It has to be checked.\015\012so ... LG LRFC25750 Refrigerator French Door

I have a side by side Kenmore refrigerator model #363-9562510. Water leaks from the bottom right corner of the freezer door from a small round cut out hole. Water is dripping down the back wall of my hotpoint refrigerator model # CTX21DA. The water collect at the bottom and drips onto the floor. How old is the refrigerator and what would the cause be for the water leaking? Should I repair it or replace it?

My red light is flashing in my Kitchenaid side by side refrigerator freezer. The ice was working, but red light flashes and no water comes out. I dumped the ice out, and noticed the bottom of the cube bin has ice in the "mechanisms" that cause the ice to dispense. We do have a filter that registers 0% left in it...but I don't believe that's the problem. What is causing the water to not flow from the dispenser...when the ice maker is still dispensing ice. The unit is 2 years old.

Hi, I have a KitchenAid KSSS48QDX05 refrigerator. I am no longer getting water at the door or to ice maker. I am thinking the cause is a clogged water filter (ten years old, has never been changed). Could it be something else? In any case, I want to replace the water filter. Will I have to pull out the whole unit to get at this filter? I removed top and bottom grills, and no filter or water is visible. Thanks.

WE have a GE side by side refrigerator (model GSH25JST A SS) that was purchased in JUne, 2006. In 2009, the water dispenser stopped working. We called a GE authorized repair man and he said tha it was a GE design problem caused by not enough or the wrong kind of insulation provided in the door. This was allowing the water line to freeze. It only impacts the water dispensing and not the ice making. The repairman's solution was to leave the freezer door open for 3-4 hours (to thaw the line) or he
