The defrosting thermostat and the defrost heater need to be replaced.\012However, the defrost heater may still b e good. Test defrost heater\012continuity and if good, just replace the defrost thermostat. That will\012save you some money.

I have a Whirlpool Side by side Model ed25uexhw01 Serial sk4354373 Refrigerator. A thin sheet of Ice forms in the bottom of the freeze side about every other day or so. I can lift it out very easy and throw it away and it comes back again. It looks like a vent of some sort is in the back wall and ice seems to be at the bottom of the vent.
