Freezer works well. 0 temp. and makes ice. no frost in freezer or coils (checked). Refrig.section temp. reading does not correspond with the 3 guages placed in the refrig. Set temp.at 33 deg. and the dig.read-out will say 37 and my guages (3) say 45 or 46 deg. The damper door will open on command. Is there a temp. reset procedure or a bad thermistor? Zisb480dmc monogram, replaced Fresh food damper(-17 in freezer, 48 in refer), did not solve. Replaced Main board and fresh food thermistors, worked 10 days, problem became 44 in fresh food -27 in freezer. replaced freezer thermistor- -27 in freezer 38 in fresh food section. Evaporator is clear( no frost), and I'm just about out of ideas. Last ditch effort is evaporator thermistor. Any thoughts?
There's a temp sensor on the evap coil part WR55X10025,i would change that out and when you changed the board if there's a wire in the second pin of the connector with ithink 9 pins on it you have to cut the wire that's in the second pin,if there's n ...
U-line CO 2075 refrigerator stopped working, only 3 years old. Service man said it needs new control board. I bought it and installed and still not running. Blinking light has indicated "open thermistor" before I changed the board, so now I am changing the thermistors. I pulled 2 thermistors out of back, but can't get the 3rd one loose. I don't want to pull too hard and rip the wires. Any suggestions?
Will this likely solve my problem? Thanks!
OK I'm guessing you have a clear icemaker. Not a co2075. When you replace the board you MUST replace the thermistors that come with the board. The board and thermistors are calibrated together. What is your model number? A clear ice maker has thermi ...

Could a thermistor cause a defrost problem?
A thermistor is an electronic thermal control(Thermostat)So, yes it could cause a defrost. Use a multimeter on the resistance settings and check for a short through the thermistor.(the most likely cause) But, short or open circuit would mean you need ...

My Kenmore model # 106.55536400 side by side refrigerator is too cold on the refrigerator side. I increased the temperature on the control board to 41 degrees but the digital thermometer I placed on a shelf reads 26 degrees. I have replaced the difusser and one thermistor but the problem still exists. Any ideas?
Hello, Most times this is a bad cold control, but there are other things to check for. Make sure the condenser fan is working and the coils are not covered with dust. A separated heat exchanger ( small capillary tubing soldered to the la ...

I have a GE Profile Arctica side by side refrigerator/freezer - Model # PSS26SHPA SS. The refrigerator side is too cold and some food and vegatables are freezing. I set teh temp yesterday to 38 for the refrigerator side and this morning the temp was 31. Freezer side was set at 0, but this morning was +3. Is this a problem with the thermostat or thermistor (I don't know what that is, but saw it on some websites)? Is there anything I can do without calling a repairman and if I have to call

freezing eggs & juice.waiting to hear from Sears tech support.
Any suggestions on what could be causing the problem?
Hi Rene. Your fridge is still under full warranty which is good news. Having to wait to hear from is not. In the meantime, turn up the temperature setting a wee bit at a time, once each day until the eggs and juice stop freezing. \015\012 ...

Whirlpool refrig md# mfi2568aes. No ice production. Icemaker thermistor 1050 ohms at room temperature. Ice room damper opens and closes in diagnostic mode, but stays closed in normal run mode. I'm thinking control board is the most likely suspect, I'm wondering if any of you guys have run across this problem before. The thermister for the ice room is p# 67006438 you can see that it comes with a new wiring harness and I am curious to know what the deal is with this. I'm thinking this
Hi I am wondering if the PCB is gone as the fan stopped working causing an increase in temperature in the freezer. There was ice on the tubes at the top which I let melt. On running the unit the motor starts after a few mins but the pipes do not get very cold. The fridge seems to be working. I have checked the fan and wiring to the PCB both seem ok. I I have not checked the thermistors but assume they are OK. I don't want to go to the expense of a new board and find there is another problem. Is

Ge side by side (psh25sgsa 3 yrs old) and the ice melts every few weeks in the freezer. Empty out the ice and everything is fine again for a couple of weeks. Checked the coil underneath and everything is fine. The fan in the freezer is a little noiser than usual. Something tells me it's related to the main control board. I heard that GE had a recall for defective control boards, but cannot find anything on GE's website. Replaced thermistor #4 and #5 but problem continues.
Hello. It appears that you may indeed have a defective control board, or it could be your defrost thermometer, Read on please. As you know, the self-defrost system has three functional components: 1. Defrost timer\015\012\015\012\015\012\0 ...
The refrigerator is not staying cold. I manually defrosted the freezer coils with a hairdryer, afterwords the fridge started cooling again. But, after a few days, the cooling problem is back. It seems like the cold air isn't making it's way from the freezer to the fridge. The fan is working. The freezer is working too. So, am I correct in thinking I need to replace the electric control panel? Or could it be the thermistor?

We have a GE TFX24F side by side and a small pool of water runs out from under the freezer side on the floor we sop it up with a sponge. I cleaned out the coils with the shop vacuum and thought that that stopped the problem but the problem is back with us. This problem appeared when we moved the refrigerator out of the way to put down new flooring. I have no idea where this problem is coming from. There doesn't appear to be any problem inside the freezer or the refrigerator. Help!!!

KitchenAid Superba ice maker leaking and causing a large block of ice in the ice bin. I watched as the water was filling the ice cube tray and I see a drip dripping down into the ice bin while the water is filling the tray. It doesn't drip at any other time. Is there an easy way to remove the ice maker to see what the problem is? Hairline crack somewhere? Is this a common problem? I have seen a lot of similar problems here, but not this exact problem, at least not so far. I am still searc
